We've just released our kittens, Leo and Nina, in the hopes that they'll rid our sheds of mice, and Leo (the gray one) has actually succeeded in catching a few! However, they can cause mischief sometimes, as is shown in the case of one little baby bird (see above pictures) whose nest got knocked down and its parents couldn't find it. We've given it to Angelica Hatke in the hopes that it'll survive... And it has! (So far.)
That's so cute! I'm glad that the baby bird has survived so far. Wouldn't it be great if it survived and grew into a fully grown bird? I really like the pictures. In the dark picture, I can't see Nina anywhere. Where am I supposed to look? -Finn
Source Angelo was born in Jerusalem to Jewish parents who later converted to Christianity. At the age of eighteen, he and his twin brother became Carmelites. Angelo lived for five years as a hermit and then he went to Sicily to convert Jews. He was finally stabbed to death in 1220.
Joseph Priestley was born near Leeds, England, in 1733. He wanted to become a minister, yet he had been studying math, astronomy, and chemistry, too! Then he met Ben Franklin. They both happened to be in London at the same time, and Priestley decided to devote his life to science. (To be continued... From The Mystery of the Periodic Table)
Source St. Lazarus became Bishop of Milan in around 439. He is believed to have developed the Rogationtide litanies, and the First Council of Orleans approved the celebration of Rogationtide. At that time, the Ostrogoths were invading Italy, but Lazarus held up. He died on March 14, 450.
